Overall Satisfaction with Bloomfire

BF is our KMS, we moved from SharePoint to BF in the Claims Dept. in August 2020. We started a pilot program back in 2019 with a small group of users and then fully implemented in Claims in August. As of January 2021 the other departments are also utilizing BF. We now have a centralized location for storing knowledge, everyone has access to the same information and it is easy to locate the information.

Pros

  • Searching for information is easy!
  • Posting new information is simple.
  • Creating Series has been very helpful with onboarding new hires.
  • The ability to post training videos has been very helpful.

Cons

  • When posting new info. if I copy/paste data I sometimes run into technical difficulties with formatting. BF doesn't handle copy/paste all that well.
  • I'd like the ability to locate all links. Sometimes links change and I don't have a way to find and update all links.
  • Increased productivity for sure. Team members can find their answers right away, they don't have to wait for a supervisor.
  • I think we have improved with regard to more consistent claims handling because team members are willing to look for guidance in BF.
  • Prior to March of 2020 everyone worked in office 5 days per week. Everyone was sent home in March and most are still working remote. BF has helped us stay connected and up to date on our processes with working remote.

I was brought in on the BF discussion early on because of my T&D role but I have not been involved in the review process for other products so I can't comment here.
Posting is simple and users will actually look for their answers because it's easy to find what they're looking for. Also the analytics are super helpful in evaluating overall usage or by specific user. I provide monthly usage stats to each team to show who is using BF regularly.
