We use Bloomfire to help manage information for completing tasks within our organization. The information can range from tips and tricks of jobs to resource PDFs that are easy for anyone to access at work or if they work from home. This ability to share easily information and at any time with everyone helps us reduce miscommunications, improve efficiency, and create a more fun work environment.
  • Categorizing content can be tailored to meet your specific organizations needs.
  • Searching/finding content is easy and intuitive because the search capabilities use every word that all your content contains.
  • Grouping information that applies to each other is easy to create and understand with the types of contributions Bloomfire has.
  • Creating your organization's Bloomfire page is painless because Bloomfire has a great setup process they walk through with new users.
  • PDFs and videos are difficult to work with. The areas where they show are somewhat too small and making the PDF or video full screen takes up too much room if you want to work alongside the PDFs and videos.
  • The automated lists add a number to any images that go with the lists. It can be taken out in the code but most of our users are not familiar with code and typing a list by hand takes users much more time to make their contributions.
  • The aesthetics are not all changeable. Our users wish we could make the home feed back ground more interesting.
Whenever someone has information that they need to organize and relay to coworkers who do not work right along side of each other. For example, some coworkers work from home and some worker collaborate on items while in a different state. Certain jobs have continuous tasks and having documents where someone details how to make the task more efficient would be helpful for another worker doing similar tasks.

Bloomfire is being used as a knowledge-sharing platform internally at Olive. We primarily use the platform for anyone in the company to post about a topic which might be a stress point across various departments. For example - an infrastructure engineer might make a post on how to set up a technical requirement for a new customer which we have not done before in order to make that setup reusable for other customers as they are likely to appear again.
  • Search capability - It is very easy to look up what you are thinking about/trying to figure out in Bloomfire. You can search something with however you want to word it and you will likely find the most relevant post quickly.
  • Interaction with coworkers - Looking up articles from a colleague is extremely easily done. You can look up someone you know is an expert on some realm within your organization and scroll through their posts.
  • Navigation - Scrolling through posts to find information is very user-friendly.
  • Customization - Our organization was able to call the site "Atlas", where we customized the visual appeal and links to various areas of interest relevant to our organization.
  • Integrations - If this could integrate better with project management platforms, we could probably find previous findings more easily, rather than having to write a blog post every time.
Bloomfire is extremely useful for building a knowledge-sharing database for internal use only. It provides a platform for ALL employees across the organization to post ANY information relevant to them and their teammates. When someone in your organization is looking for information that isn't in their "wheelhouse", they can use Bloomfire to research that information they're seeking much more easily than having to go reach out to random people across the organization.

We use Bloomfire as a company resource to quickly and efficiently disseminate information. It also archives all posts that have ever been submitted, and in turn it becomes a company database for standards, procedures, general work advice, new information and alerts - a giant archive of everything you've ever wanted. A problem that most companies have is that everybody knows something that someone else doesn't know. And when good employees get fired or take on a job elsewhere in a new department or in a new company altogether, a company usually suffers for it. This doesn't eradicate that problem but it helps to shrink the likelihood that more information is lost than retained. I'm really happy that our company went with Bloomfire. It's simple and easy to use, effective and efficient, and a great resource that we use regularly throughout the day.
  • Bloomfire's search feature is functional and effective.
  • You can comment on posts to get answers super quick, and also archived.
  • Anyone can post a question or an answer, and there is verification (by a real person that approves them) on answers before they are posted, so you know you're getting accuracy.
  • Have more features for member interaction.
  • The main feed can get busy and the endless scroll of posts I don't really like.
I work for a company that sells thousands of products, and those products cycle in and out over time. And without a good and handy database, I wouldn't be able to do my day to day job. I always get thrown some random question by a customer that nobody in the world has ever thought of before, but it's a good and valid question. And I can search my database and sometimes someone else has addressed X before. It's convenient and all in one place and always appropriate to have and count on. I can't think of a scenario where not having Bloomfire would benefit anyone or be "less appropriate."

The Franchisor has decided to discontinue use of Bloomfire and use FranConnect instead. When Bloomfire was in use, it was the corporate knowledge base and repository for E-Learning, Articles, Information and Community Q&A/support.
  • Allows thousands of individuals to collaborate by sharing questions & answers in a moderated social network.
  • Provides reasonable groupings of like content in common groups.
  • Bubbles to the top the most important or most viewed posts.
  • Allows Corporate facilitation and rotating top banner with most important content.
  • Provides, when organized into series, a sequential set of links to content.
  • Ability to leave bookmarks.
  • Search was awful.
  • If you were not subscribed to a given group, a link (provided by someone else) to content in that group would not work.
  • Information Organization was very basic and could have been more useful.
  • It was not easy to find answers to questions that may have been asked before, so the same questions were asked again and again because it was too difficult to find previous answers.
  • If you subcribed to multiple groups and chose to have updates emailed, your email became overwhelmed and the information being sent was not useful.
  • Inability to organize bookmarks into something more useful than a big list.
The system that the corporation has decided to replace Bloomfire with (FranConnect) is downright horrible. They flushed 5+ years worth of knowledge and eliminated the ability of associates to ask and answer questions from across the network. For as bad as the organizational structure was in Bloomfire, FranConnect (or the way they have implemented it) is far worse. I believe the issue is that when the number of Bloomfire users gets large, there needs to be a significant investment in moderation and curation/re-structuring of posts & knowledge to keep the system useful. Without regular pruning, archiving, and moderation, the system's organic growth makes it too difficult to find what's needed quickly without a superior search mechanism.

[Bloomfire is being used to] share reusable sales/customer facing assets. We would like to share our contents but there is [no] efficient way without knowledge share platform like Bloomfire.
  • Sharing customer success story.. We can easily [find] some decks by customer name or solution search.
  • Sharing sales pitch.. Search function is very useful
  • Tiering and linking related topics. Bloomfire can make a summary of related topics including not only inside of Bloomfire but also outside of it.
  • Language : we need Japanese version.
If we talk with English speaking people, Bloomfire is enough and good solution. But, I'm based on Japan and My 1st language is Japanese and [Bloomfire's] lack of multi language support is critical.

Our organization has used Bloomfire for 4+ years. It is managed and maintained by our knowledge management team. Our whole organization uses this platform. The first problem and goal Bloomfire addresses is to undergird a culture of accessing, sharing, and using knowledge to advance our work with child welfare agencies and leadership teams. It allows for cross-team collaboration on common needs and trends, while at the same time, removing silos and independent approaches to the work.
  • Improved the ability to locate resources and content in one location.
  • Provides a platform for real-time inquiries and responses regarding topics that will help serve our clients more effectively.
  • By having access to a wealth of resources and known knowledge, it has increased our credibility with clients with them seeing that we can expedite knowledge and ideas.
  • Need better curation of content, including better targeting of search results, providing a high-level synopsis of documents in the description of postings, etc.
  • Guidance for how an organization can tailor the platform that will best meet their employees' needs.
Having a curation process that uses an organization's taxonomy in order to properly tag content. This helps tremendously when entering specific searches for content.

Bloomfire is being used across my school’s network as a resource center for teachers and administrators. Resources are located to provide teachers with the tools needed to help with our teaching. These resources include lesson plans, curriculum development and content which are easily accessible to all in our network. Bloomfire’s main purpose is to provide teachers and administrators an effective way to share and receive resources that helps us to become more productive in our field of work as educators.
  • Upload resources
  • Easy access and search engine
  • Helps Evelin the network to be connected
  • Able to connect directly with another employee or send resources directly
  • A video demonstrating better how to use and navigate
  • Better view of articles and resources for easy reading
Bloomfire at first is a bit challenging to navigate but once using it constantly it gets easier. It worked perfect for providing teachers with lesson planning resources and curriculum materials that are shared through the network. A good example was during school closing we were all provided through Bloomfire curriculum context that we were to use for our teaching purposes.

Bloomfire is being used by Mastery Charter Schools to house curriculum resources, HR resources, and many other resources for the entire network. It serves as one place where we can access information we need at any time whether we are in the building or at home. Bloomfire helps keep things organized.
  • Bloomfire helps keep things organized.
  • Bloomfire houses all information.
  • Bloomfire is easy to navigate.
  • Having a menu may be easier to navigate.
  • Frequently used resources section will be helpful.
  • Having easier access to groups would also be helpful.
Bloomfire is well suited to access information need for your organization. I have only used Bloomfire in an educational context. However, it would be helpful to have in any organization to house all resources needed for that organization.

Bloomfire is what we use for our internal search engine or as we call it 'our single source of truth'. The business we are in is messy and convoluted. The Residential department is broken in to 4 different division and Bloomfire allows for us to store article by relevancy with a user friendly search engine for easy finding. Although we all use the same website, the different tiles/groups isolates the important information. Our customer service agents are encouraged to utilize this resource to gather accurate and updated policy information. The best part is that it is very interactive i:e bookmarks, like, follow, share or flag for review.
  • Bookmarks
  • Modern and Clean
  • Intuitive
  • The search engine can be improved by revamping key words function
It is very easy to moderate the content. The hourly employees use it to navigate through their calls, and if something is confusing about a process they can comment on the article and a content moderator will engage with the post. It is very real time and allows for process improvement.

Bloomfire is currently used by our technical services team, which includes parts identification and technical support. It's an incredible resource for gathering all our info and documents for each manufacturer under one roof. The search function makes it essential to our daily work -- I have an entire screen and browser window devoted to multiple Bloomfire tabs at all times. The "question" post function save us so much time by removing redundancies, allowing us to have faster and more accurate responses real-time for our external customers on the phone. It also allows us to have better manufacturer partnerships due to the fact that we are not constantly pestering for the same information we got last week! I don't know how we would do this job without Bloomfire.
  • Internal search is logical and easy to use.
  • Tagging function makes things even easier.
  • Bookmark function is essential.
  • Eyeball view -- being able to see who has interacted with post improves accountability.
  • UI could use a little work at appearing less cluttered.
  • Add search function to results page; we shouldn't have to go back to main landing page to search.
  • Posts could be smaller, allowing for more per page.
Bloomfire is best suited for applications where you need a quickly-searchable data base. It works great with our technical support team and is used by both parts identification specialists and technical support specialists to find answers quickly -- and keeps our phone customers satisfied. I can find a part number or part spec within about 30 seconds, which our external customers love.

We use Bloomfire as an organizational tool for all collateral, presentations, and other company-related materials (both internal and external). It's used across the whole organization, and ultimately it helps us locate resources efficiently. It's most used via the search bar (which has yet to let me down, despite the file title perhaps being different), but the groups function has also been effective.
  • Search Bar: easy to find related content
  • Groups: easy to find resources by department
  • Would love a trending feature
Well suited for companies of any size, perhaps less relevant when the company's product/updates lack change.

We use Bloomfire as a way to share knowledge within our company. It is being used by our entire company. Employees like myself contribute different videos, articles, questions and knowledge about companies and strategies for our industry. It addresses the problem of accessibility of knowledge and competitive intelligence for business use. It helps aggregate information in one central location to be used. It is great for personal development.
  • Consolidating information in one central location.
  • Allows multi-media use for posts.
  • Lets you categorize certain topics to keep related topics together.
  • More multi-media functions if possible.
Bloomfire is well suited for organizations to keep track of activity of its employees as well as their personal development. It is appropriate for especially large organizations to keep their overall company motto and way of doing things even across all areas of the company. It would be less appropriate for smaller companies.

It is used across a few projects for the different projects to communicate and share information with each other. We often come across the same information and we are using Bloomfire as a way to have a repository of information to prevent duplication of efforts.
  • I like the analytics (minus the pie charts) because they give a nice at-a-glance look at stats.
  • Search function in Bloomfire works very well.
  • I think we could use the tags feature more to help the search engine.
  • Take out pie charts and use appropriate data visualizations.
Great to share information, communicate with others, and ask questions. Might not be the right place for a webinar, though.

Bloomfire is used across our entire company giving access to every employee. It allows our employees access to all company knowledge to allow everyone the ability to learn, grow and double check resources they feel they need to reconfirm quickly!
  • Easy access.
  • Searching is very easy to access information.
  • Easily editable by leadership.
  • Searching is nice, but better search by keywords would be an improvement.
I would and have recommend Bloomfire to friends in the corporate sector. I explain how easy to use and functional it is. How it would be an amazing resource for their companies.

We use Bloomfire for a compendium of work information which is used for training purposes as well as information access for tenured employees.
  • The ability to access and edit information is very good. It allows leaders in all departments to change, edit and update information as things change in the company.
  • It's very easy to use and navigate. Even for a novice.
  • Searching features is not my favorite. Sometimes you [can't] find what you're looking for, even with keywords.
I would most definitely recommend this product to others. I already have with certain colleagues in my field who are looking for a platform to do similar in what we do. Some are hesitant on the price but I remind them on how worth it it would be for themselves and their business.

OMG uses Bloomfire as a knowledge base for its 400+ resellers. We have more than 1500 documents, files, slide decks and videos as well as certification series, product sample series and more. It helps our resellers quickly find what they need, keep our knowledge base updated, and assure quality across the board.
  • Posts are displayed in magazine format by most recent.
  • Searches are accurate and help people find what they need.
  • Series are like playlists and help to assure that the right people get the right content.
  • None I can think of.
We require all of our partners/resellers to become certified and that involves completing close to 80 files, documents, decks and videos. These are all part of a "certification" series which appears as a playlist and we can make sure that each partner has completed each of these files.

Bloomfire is an amazing tool that we use to document our policy and procedures for Risk Management to the entire company's management team. They can access anytime at their convenience when they need Risk Management related instructions. We can share links to the details we have posted that we reference across the organization to use. It is a great communication tool.
  • We are able to post series of related items.
  • Updated forms are posted for easy access.
  • Ensures consistency in communication.
  • I'm not aware of any missing functionality. It works great for our needs.
It is very easy & convenient to use in communicating with the entire company. We can refer internally to the same details over and over again.

Bloomfire has been a great help to my company, acting as a knowledge management tool. I love how easy we can find some information across departments, especially our publishing department. All the managers work together to input as much as possible information that could be useful both for their own department as well as others. The platform is very user-friendly, it is so easy for all ages to understand how to use it. My team and I are very glad to use Bloomfire, hoping that this platform could help us to be more effective and efficient at the workplace and able to find the information so easily.
  • Search function.
  • User-friendly.
  • Pictures quality.
  • Contribution features.
  • Easy to manage and operate.
  • Detail and organize.
  • Word formatting (Indent, spacing, font size & color).
  • Format changes because copy and paste content from offline to online.
  • Need more variety input for content formatting like adding symbols or special characters.
Overall, Bloomfire has great features to offer. However, just one little thing that they could do better, is in the content formatting. The functions are too limited, they need to add more stuff to input, like symbols, special characters, more font styles, font colors, highlighted option, etc.

Bloomfire is being used by the entire organization as a place to post and read information pertinent to everyone employed by Lap of Love. It allows us to access information on our own 24 hours a day before having to reach out to someone else for answers. It has helped me countless times.
  • Search bar--it is very specific and rapid
  • Ease of reading--the pages flow very nicely
  • Ease of use overall--very user-friendly
  • It's always nice to have a technical-support chat option, which I don't see
Bloomfire is well-suited to the dissemination of information to a wide number of people, as well as allowing commenting on individual articles to help clarify whatever points are needed. It is very speedy and user-friendly, so that someone as tech-challenged as me has no trouble navigating the site. I can't think of a scenario where it wouldn't be appropriate.

Bloomfire is used by our company as an education tool. All articles relating to our training, company protocols etc are placed on Bloomfire and it is our go-to program for learning everything we need to know.
  • I love the way everything is together all in one place.
  • It is perfect for a company with a lot of employees and where a lot of training is essential. Bloomfire is like one big text book.
  • I love the fact that readers can comment on each post and add additional info.
  • It can be a little difficult to use the search facility. You have to be very particular in your choice of words.
  • Overall it is a very good resource and is great that we have everything in one place, from educational articles specific to our company as well as quality control articles.
Bloomfire is perfect as a teaching medium and a reference for all staff. When I started with this company we had no such thing and training standards depended on the person you worked with. Now every employee has access to the same training materials right across the board. Quality control is easy and ready access to training materials I honestly do not know of any other use for Bloomfire so cannot comment on negative uses for it. But would be interested in learning more.

I use it to go look up clients' questions. I use it to show me how to set up different programs. Or to see different strategies or ways to improve my customer. I use it to help clients set up accounts. It is a good program you go to to ask a question when you don't know the answers. Instead of waiting for a supervisor to come to answer my question which could make me lose a client because of the wait time.
  • You can ask any question.
  • If they don't have the answer to a question but you know the answer you can create an article.
  • Saves time.
  • No improvement needed.
  • Very easy to use.
When I was unable to reach a supervisor in 5 min I was able to type in my question get a response within a sec and relay the info to my client.
