Overall Satisfaction with BlueJeans

BlueJeans is used across all our organization. We have Cisco SX-20 or Cisco room kit video terminals in all our branches and sometimes we need to connect all branches in one conference, so built-in MCU is not an option. We use BlueJeans for this. Also we have external contractors and partners and they need join our conferences sometimes. BlueJeans is perfect for this - external companies can use any kind of equipment - H323, SIP or even Windows, Mac, Android or IOS devices. Some of departments in our organization are distributed across branches and BlueJeans is very sutable for the internal meetings in such departments. It is very important, that BlueJeans is easy to use for standard tasks like joining a conference, switch mic on/off etc. We don't have any problems with this.
  • Advanced MCU functionality. We can connect as many sites as we want in one conference and everything work as it should.
  • Mobile devices support - mobile devices works well and easy for configuration without any assistance from IT.
  • Desktop platforms support - participants can join from Windows and MAC even without client software installation. It is really convenient, because sometimes users not allowed to install anything on the computers.
  • Biggest problem is a not stable voice and video quality. This is specific for Russia, because BlueJeans doesn't have datacenters in our region. We have to use DC in Europe, route is quite long and sometimes quality affected. I believe customers in the US and EU have perfect service, but in Russia BlueJeans have some room for improvement in this area :--)
  • It is really difficult to use desktop sharing. It works slow and a lot of strange artifacts on the screen. Actually we cannot use screen sharing. Please give us something like TeamViewer! BlueJeans in this case will be just a perfect collaboration platform for us!
  • It would be very nice to have ability to move participants from one room to another. For example, all branches connected to one room, assistant can see, that peoples are ready for the meeting. During the meeting, an assistant will move branches to another room for conversation with company CEO for example. It is very convenient and this functionality is missing.
  • Meetings with external parties become much easier to arrange. Communications become easier.
  • No restrictions for the number of meeting participants. We can connect to discussion as many sites as we need.
  • Our staff can attend to the meeting from the workplace. No need to physically move to the conference room. We don't have this before and it is convenient in some cases.
We tried Zoom.us, Lifesize cloud and imind.ru. In my opinion, BlueJeans is easiest for setup and more suitable for the our organization (we don't want actually to change user experience - we just implement a different backend). With BlueJeans we was able to keep basic user experience in the conference room without changes, just add some new functions.
Strong MCU functionality, weak desktop sharing. It will be very nice to have some adjustments in BlueJeans welcome screen (for H323 or SIP endpoints). Welcome voice message is annoying, we don't want it. Also very nice to have more possibilities to place company logo and some custom images / text.
Nearly perfect as MCU service (with above described limitations). Not very useful as a desktop sharing platform.
