Overall Satisfaction with BlueJeans Events
[We] conducted [a] virtual learning environment using BlueJeans Events. [We] held lectures for 200+ students. Students could anonymously ask questions which increased participation.
- Q&A feature
- Ability to have multiple moderators/presenters
- Student chat
- Notifications for Q&A are difficult to navigate when there are a lot of incoming questions
- [I] would not have been able to continue hosting live lectures without events. Students would have had to watch recordings and couldn’t ask questions in real-time—tremendous value.
- Increased student participation compared to in-person classes. When students can join from home, they’re more likely to be in attendance.
- Increased participation from anonymous Q&A feature
It's been nice to use one platform for meetings ranging from 50 people to 20,000 people. When hosting, it's easy to switch presenters. This allows us to make the best use of our time and not waste our participants' time by trying to figure out the technology. The platform seems very straightforward and not difficult to figure out.
- Zoom and Microsoft Teams
BlueJeans Events has been less “buggy” than the others. Professors sometimes struggle learning new technologies, but BlueJeans [Events] has caused the fewest problems. It’s also easy to start meetings with the simple link-sharing feature. This link can be posted to our class board and easily accessed at any point. Also, the recordings are easy to access and share, which is vital to professors.
