Overall Satisfaction with Blueworks Live

We use this as a tool to help us capture processes within our organization. It helps us collaborate as a team and perhaps even more importantly, document our decisions and next steps. We also rely heavily on the ability to crate and then share that work with other team members—at which point they can edit, provide feedback, etc.

Pros

  • Allows team members to work within their Space and then share that work with others
  • Export/print artifacts and space activity data
  • Create workflows and process blueprints

Cons

  • The playback feature can be a little buggy at times and could use some more speed as well.
  • It can be a little hard to navigate the many many menus and sub-menus
  • The search/filter feature could use some fine-tuning. It doesn’t always return the expected results
  • We spend less time searching through notes and messages trying to figure out which process we liked most, which worked best, etc
  • We can view processes and simulated processes in real time
  • It easy to share and collaborate with other team members and get their feedback
This has been key! I cannot overstate how convenient it is to have everything in one place. It helps to be very organized from the start and that should help the team's ability to navigate through menus.
This has been very helpful. We don’t have a huge team, but we’ve definitely outgrown hand-scribbled notes taken during Zoom meetings. It’s much for effective to have a single place where this can be stored and accessed by all members.
As I mentioned previously, we started very small (4 people including the founder) so if we looked at processes or decided to build a new process, it was done and documented completely via Skype or Zoom since we are remote. Now, we have a single place where all of our processes can live and where everyone can access those.
  • IBM Analytics Engine
I can see this becoming more pertinent as we (hopefully) continue to grow. It’s a bit like starting out with an iPhone—from that point on, it’s easier if you just keep buying Apple products because they meld seamlessly together across all devices. I see IBM and Blueworks Live following a similar trajectory: it only gets more useful the more services you add.
Sorry, I have not used any other Blueworks Live products yet.

Do you think IBM Blueworks Live delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with IBM Blueworks Live's feature set?

Yes

Did IBM Blueworks Live live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of IBM Blueworks Live go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy IBM Blueworks Live again?

Yes

It’s a great tool if you have a small to medium sized company. I wish we’d started using it sooner because May processes and decisions made during meetings (for example) went undocumented. We’re now able to track these kinds of things much more efficiently. I don’t know if it would work as well with large companies because I haven’t experienced it in that setting.
