Overall Satisfaction with Bonterra Network for Good

We use Bonterra Network for Good for donor management, CRM, donation management and tracking, donor communication, ticket sales, donation processing, and donor tax documentation. We continue to find new ways to utilize the software as new functions are rolled-out. The product addresses the majority of needs that a small nonprofit require, all rolled into one product. It allows for communication, financials, CRM, and many other things all under one "roof".

Cons

  • In exporting reports, it would be helpful to have a "select all" option so you can easily select everything without having to manually click each one.
  • In exporting reports, it may be helpful to have the option of saving various options for different needs so you don't have to manually click or unclick each choice every time, as you can currently only save one type.
  • It would be helpful to be able to change an event/ticket information after it has already gone live for sales as we recently had an issue with this.
  • Increased donations - the majority of our donors do so through this platform
  • Time savings - we are able to take care of a large majority of tasks through one easy portal
  • Higher donor engagement - It's simple for us to pre-plan emails and texts and send them out to donors from the portal

Bonterra Network for Good has definitely made it easier for our small nonprofit to raise and track donations! We are able to easily create emails through the portal and have them sent out to all of our donors, or even to just a smaller portion of a select few, which helps bring attention to our mission and organization. We are also able to easily create and print off group direct mailings or individual direct mailings - from the online portal, helping to build donor engagement for those who do not provide (or have access to) an email address. Our website is easily linked to our Bonterra Network for Good account and donations are seamlessly automatically updated in their donor profile, providing a much easier time for donors. The variety of ways in which you can frame searches for data is also a timesaver and provides for ample formats and search options.
Bonterra Network for Good gets a top score for usability for a number of reasons. The product itself is easy to use and does not require a lot of training. It has an easy user interface that is clear to follow and allows for a lot of user functionality and capabilities all rolled into one product. It provides for allowing various access levels to users depending on their task needs, which allows for better institutional accountability. Bonterra continues to roll out new features that allow for a small non profit to have access to a software program that encompasses most of its needs all together, at a great price.
In comparison to Bonterra Network for Good, Blackbaud's cost was astronomically inflated, with Bonterra Network for Good costing only a fraction of the price. That was the main selling point. When you start to look at functionality allowed to the users, Bonterra Network for Good has recently implemented so many new features that it now surpasses Blackbaud's. Bonterra Network for Good has many more options for researching data and pulling up records, interfacing with donors, and assisting donors on a customer-service level in relation to their donations. Overall, Bonterra Network for Good had better functionality for our organization and at a much lower cost.

Bonterra Network for Good has been vital in my work in Finance and Administrative tasks for our small nonprofit. It has allowed for us to provide better customer service to our donors with all of the newer functions that have been implemented and the increased ways in which we can interface with our donors' donations, such as manually updating credit cards, and being able to enter new donations for the donors without having to call. With each new rollout of increased features, we find more ways to better serve our donors, and in turn serve our mission.
