We use BQE on a day-to-day basis as a consulting engineering firm to keep track of time, and expenses for projects to appropriately budget costs to clients. It helps you track the number of hours spent on projects and helps to distinguish how much time was spent on specific activities.
  • Easily accessible online
  • Simple and easy to use UI
  • Optional mobile app for better accessibility
  • At times, BQE can be slow while it uploads/saves to the cloud
  • Attachments take time to upload
  • Project list from last week's time entry disappear as you enter new week's time entries
  • Can be an issue for accounting deadlines if the site is down or slow
  • Relatively quick to complete time entry, less time spent on admin overhead
  • Easy to keep track of billable and nonbillable hours to ensure goals are met

Generally a good platform and easily accessible on not only the desktop but mobile devices. A simple way to keep track of logged time is what the platform does best. Occasional shutdowns, and slow connectivity a few times are the only downsides of BQE. The website also has issues with certain web browsers, so it could improve in terms of compatibility.

In any scenario where you need to keep a close eye on time and budget, BQE allows for a simple look at the breakdown for projects. One useful feature displays the number of billable hours and non-billable hours for a month, making it easier to maintain goals.
