Overall Satisfaction with Brightmine
We use Brightmine as part of our Job Evaluation process and to benchmark our salaries. As an organization, we are committed to benchmarking our salaries annually, using Brightmine for this. We are also considering the benefits of benchmarking.
Pros
- Salary benchmarking.
- Adding nuance to the job factors.
- Depending on the number of matches available, being able to benchmark by location.
Cons
- There are a few of us who use the benchmarking tool, me being the main person. It would be useful to see the results from the other people on our team who use it.
- I updated our information annually and found the new system this year wasn't particularly helpful when flagging errors. Previously, I would have received a report indicating which specific information line had a mistake. However, this year, the system essentially told me to work it out myself. There was a lot of towing and froing with your helpdesk trying to resolve where the problem might be, as I couldn't complete our upload until certain flags had been dealt with. This was very frustrating.
- Brightmine supports our internal Job Evaluation process, where we use the benchmarking tool. This reassures all employees that all the roles are externally benchmarked and gives a level of confidence that our salary ranges are appropriate.
