Overall Satisfaction with Cardknox
We are a medical practice that needs to collect credit card information to hold in case of a copay or deductible or cancellation fee. We needed all our staff and patients to be able to input credit card information but only our billing department to be able to charge the cards when necessary. Holding so many people's credit card information is a huge responsibility that we take seriously.
- Cardknox enables us to collect credit card information secure in the knowledge that there is no way for the information to be used fraudulently.
- Cardknox has given us the flexibility to compartmentalize access levels to further reduce risk.
- Using Cardknox has totally removed the responsibility for securely storing credit card information from our practice.
- Any areas in function that we found tedious or difficult were really a result of us not knowing how to use all the features Cardknox offers. Once we contacted support with our issues and received guidance, we have not had any issues or frustrations with the system. Their support is robust and wait times for a response are extremely low!
- Patients are much more secure giving us their credit card information since we have switched to using Cardknox. They even have the option of entering it themselves to reduce any risk of the number being overheard to zero.
- It is much faster and smoother to find and charge a card when necessary.
We used to use PayPal's Virtual Terminal for charging credit cards and had to use a homemade system for storing them, so aside from Cardknox's features being much more suited to us, the monthly fee is about one fifth of what we were paying PayPal. All around, a really excellent upgrade!

Using Cardknox
Medical patient intake and billing as well as medical providers, on occasion.
1 - The ability to use a computer, read, and if there is a question, to use a phone or email to contact Cardknox. In other words, no special skills are needed as the system is very user friendly!
- Collection and storing credit card information safely and securely.
- Ease of ability to retrieve a patient's info when needed for billing
- Being able to charge cards with an automatic notification sent to the patient.

No - No need to pay extra. I don't even know if they have such an option, as their regular support is already at the standard many others would consider premium!
At the start of COVID, when I am sure they were inundated with other requests, there was always a friendly, knowledgeable person to help us make the transition from in-person collections to 100% online. The switch was done within a matter of days and very seamlessly, too!
