Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI)

Cisco ACI is being used in our data centers to manage traffic for our commerce applications . It has the virtual API that works with our developers to create and tear down application environments
  • API calls for appdev
  • Targeted routing
  • Microsegmentation
  • Troubleshooting
  • Searching for an IP or DNS name
  • Showing path through ACI for data flows
  • Works well with API calls
  • Internal DC routing is very secure
  • Needs better troubleshooting tools
Provides the basis for ACI to run
Very reliable devices and works well with our environment.
The separation of VLAN traffic has worked very well for us. Finding out what the VLAN is is a bit of a chore. They need to make it easier to show data flows through the environment.
We don't use the zero trust security model... yet.
AWS is similar to ACI and has some nicer features, but they do work well together to provide the hybrid cloud model for redundancy.
