Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI)

As a Service Provider, we use Cisco ACI to deploy, manage and maintain our Private Cloud Network. We need a full vision of our stack at any moment, in order to get our customers satisfied. Cisco ACI offers the perfect automations, tools for daily tasks.

Pros

  • Apply the right VLAN configuration to our VMs during provisioning.
  • Cisco Opflex Plugin is the perfect tool to understand what is being configured with Red Hat OpenShift.
  • The New Nexus Dashboard can cover the entire assets inventory and all the topology we have deployed at the time.

Cons

  • Cisco ACI could be more reliable on providing more insight informations about OpenShift.
  • Cisco ACI could integrate directly AI Agents in the future.
  • Cisco ACI could manage a bit more of equipment than just the Nexus segment.
  • Had only parts incidents since the Fabric was running 7 years ago!
  • Upgrade paths are so smooth that we sometimes forget what it's like to have great products on this aspect.
  • Deploy new customers have never been so easy, even if you've been in vacation for a year!
We have an aggressive discount from one of the Cisco's distributor. What could go wrong for that combo!
We are only a team of 4 guys running the whole Stack of ACI and VMware. Cisco ACI provided so much Time saving that we could concentrate to other things that wasted our lives.
Only few minutes to understand how you could deploy an entire Fabric, without any repetitive task, automations were so smooth after HL Design so it came rapidly fast to achieve what we wanted.

Having Cisco ACI as a Fabric to create a Private Cloud, big infrastructures like Banks Networks, is the must. All automations associated are well known and have the biggest advantages on the market than anything else.
