Cisco ASA for High Availability
Overall Satisfaction with Cisco ASA
We are using Cisco ASA 5525 for Routing & Natting in our organization & we have connected two sites with site-to-site VPN & our remote users are using Cisco Anyconnect. We have configured Cisco ASA in a way so that our remote users can access the internal resources. We have also configured VLANs for our departments to route the traffic.
Pros
- Routing & lots of options in Natting to customize as per the requirement
- Site to Site VPN & Remote VPN for secure communication
- Easy to configure & manage
- Easy to configure the QoS ( Quality of Service )
Cons
- ASDN Should be improved
- Need More security for Layer 7
- High Availability
- Hardware cost is low
- Easy to Manage & Best in class technical Support
- Easy to Configure
We were using pfSense before in our environment but we were facing continuous issues in configuration management & policy-based management. After the implementation of Cisco ASA, it has resolved both the previous problems & also provided us a reliable solution with High Availability. It has also provided us best in class technical support.
