Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points
Cisco Access Point
We have deployed more than 1800+ Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points throughout our organization. This was the solution we used to replace access points from a different vendor as we shifted to Cisco platform. These models are being used both indoor and outdoor locations and as well as for high density areas.
Pros
- Reliability
- Easy to install
- Aesthetics
Cons
- The 2800's can be more slimmer
- These AP's has been running for more than 3yrs and already paid for itself
- with thousands of AP's deployed and with minimal bad/defect units, the money is well spent on these AP's
It takes about a couple of weeks to received the shipment. We contract our physical AP install through another vendor and we can deploy around 50 APs per night during the non-business hours of our sites. The APs automatically provision itself and is operational after a couple of hours once the software gets updated from the controller. We are fully functioning by the following installation day.
We have not done this type of deployment
