Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches

We use Cisco Catalyst 9330 Series Switches as access switches. We are using them with DNA Center, and SDA network. We are like the functions with VXLAN, micro segmentation. We are also using them as a Thousand Eyes device, so we can see how the connection to the internet is for a user at that location.
  • Stability
  • Ease of use
  • Modular
  • Get rid of bugs
  • Simpler installation
  • Save time
  • Almost set and forget
We have benefited from automation. We are running SDA, so we can deploy a new switch with almost zero touch. Also we are able to make onboarding of devices easy, but also in a secure way. The access ports are running 802.1x and mab, and mab devices can we make different profiles on.
We use DNA center to manage them, but also the good old CLI is handy sometimes. We are also running some custom scripts provided by our partner in the docker container to manage silent hosts.

Would you buy Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches again?

Yes

They are well suited for big campuses, where you have a lot of devices that need to be connected. And then they are very modular, such as fans, and power supply.

On smaller locations they are not so good because of the size, and are not fanless. They need a big wiring closet if you need to stack them.
