The use case for the C9800s are managing our APs. Having mgig and 10gb Ports on the WLCs bring better performance for WiFi 6E

With the new WLCs, new Troubleshooting tools are provided, which helps us a lot. Also the monitoring capabilities are better
Having SSO configured on the WLCs, there is no issues with High availability
unfortunately we had to wait 6-10 Months to get new WLCs
Using the Policy Tags it is pretty easy to manage different policies accross all APs
Since we are only upgrading to the newest generation, we have all benefits from that (like performance)
Basically the C9800s are suited for most of the environment. For small sites, you can safe money by using the cloud version. And for bigger sites there are also performance appliances.
