Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers

Deployment of a new Wireless for multiple floor building. As part of the deployment we were seeking a new approach to WiFi with inbuilt sensors like temperature and humidity, wayfinding, WiFi 6e and other requirements. The deployment with the Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers have allowed the seamless setup of over 50+ WAPs, secure guest network features, logging and the ability to see our environment performance over multiple areas.

Cisco Spaces is great. It complements the investment to add in wayfinding and sensor information around temperature and humidity of the environment.
The investment of Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers have been setup in a high availability solution over mutli campus deployments to allow for devices to remain up for longer in the case of power issues / network related issues and patching schedules of servers and other Cisco products.
The flexibility of the Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers as a load balanced, multi campus deployment, has been key to our deployment. Working with the Cisco SDA Design and TAC teams to deploy a product that will always be available in the event of power and network outages has further improved the resiliency our business needs to succeed.
A centralised deployment was always key to the development of this new IT Infrastructure. Cisco SDA Design Team and Cisco TAC teams created a bulletproof design to encompass Cisco DNA Center and Cisco Spaces into the Cisco Wireless policies builds and deployments of the new WiFi network goals. This has given us greater control and security when defining the requirements laid out in the deployment and the needs that needed to be achieved.

Secure IoT deployments - Allows for greater security around basic IoT devices that use low level PSK requirements on the network, by adding in MABs.
BYOD Deployments - Tracking of BYOD devices and border controls on how they access other devices on the network in a secure manner.
