Cisco Headset 700 Series
Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Headset 700 Series
We have deployed it for all our knowledge workers and customer care agents. It’s proven to be a hit for many reasons: it’s comfortable, has great sound modes (ambient and noise cancelling), plus has amazing stamina - the battery can almost last 2 full days. It’s also very lightweight so it is not annoying to wear all day. The range is good and the sound quality is great.
Pros
- Sound quality.
- Battery life.
- Easy connectivity.
Cons
- Even better range.
- Wireless charging.
- More colors.
- Great tool for employees.
- A bit on the pricy side.
- Too new to evaluate long term ROI.
Simply put, there is no learning curve. It’s almost plug and play. Easy to use with Bluetooth and with the USB dongle. I use it with my video endpoint, my laptop and also my cell phone. It worked well from the minute I used it and I get the same feedback from customers who have purchased it.
The Cisco Headset 700 Series has delivered on audio quality for calls and video calls. Since it is a business device I don’t expect it to be awesome at music listening but I can say it does a very good job there too. It’s comparable with personal audio headsets in the mid range but maybe not as good as Beats or Senheiser.
I know that the IT team loves the fact that you can manage and monitor remotely the 700 Series headsets which comes in quite handy for our remote task force. I am not personally involved at that point. But I can confirm that having a reliable device throughout the company is a game changer.
Plantronics Voyager, although it serves the same purpose, isn’t the same at all! The fact that we are a Cisco and Webex [shop] made it so simple once Cisco started offering headsets. Having to connect desk phones with Poly headsets required connectors and offered no visibility. Cisco managed to give a well designed and powerful headset alternative to everyone, but clearly a no-brainer for Cisco environment.
