Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Headsets

We use Cisco IP Phones in our office and also use Cisco Headsets primarily for our front desk and other high volume call positions.

Pros

  • Durable
  • Good price point
  • Easy to use

Cons

  • Please make an in ear version similar to Plantronics cs540
  • Increase agent productivity when using headsets
  • Less neck strain
  • Better ergonomics vs other brands
I was able to setup multiple headsets for our agents within a short span of time. Very easy to setup as they plug and play and automatically upgrade once connected to a Cisco phone. The Cisco call manager is also able to see the attached headset on the Cisco phone as everything is part of one ecosystem.
Easier incoming call alert as the user is able to hear on the headset incoming audible rings compared to a normal bluetooth headset that doesn’t have that feature.
We have not used this feature.
  • Poly CS540 & CS500 XD Wireless Headsets
Hard to choose between the 2 brands when comparing the over-the-ear solution. As for in ear models, Cisco does not have a competing model available.

Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager), Cisco Unified Contact Center, Webex App
Cisco Headsets are a very good option for over the ear headset as it has a lightweight and adjustable headband. It is very useful for high volume call center type setup as the user can be hands free and work while answering multiple calls.
