Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Cisco Intersight for visibility into our computing infrastructure. This has allowed us to save time with the proactive TAC cases for predictive hardware failures as well as give insight into the age, compatibility, and contract status of individual systems.

I have not had to leverage support much except when adding some domains to Cisco Intersight. Again, at this point, I feel this is a complementary tool to UCS Central and not yet a full management tool.

In my opinion, it is not a full management tool and lacks the full functionality of UCS Central. However, Cisco Intersight is evolving quickly and it's still to be determined what exactly it is trying to achieve and replace. It complements UCS Central well and has some added benefits, but is still not a necessary investment for us yet, just a complimentary one at the moment.
