Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Intersight

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cisco Intersight helps us to easily configure and manage our three UCS-X systems that are housed in different locations. We are able to leverage Intersight to get better visibility not only into our compute platforms but allows us to see our storage and networking in a single platform.

When transitioning from traditional compute have to learn some new terminology

With an already lean team able to manage our environments more efficiently than before.

Alternatives Considered

OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter

When we compared it to our existing solution for managing our compute platforms we needed multiple tools to accomplish what we were able to accomplish with Cisco Intersight. We needed a tool just to manage our chassis/blade infrastructure, another to manager our SANs and then another to manage our networking. Then being able to have visibility for troubleshooting we needed another set of tools.

Have not used support yet to date.

Process Simplification

By bringing multiple tools for configuring, managing, and troubleshooting has allowed us to maintain our current staffing. All while being able to start utilizing automation and profiles to provide a better experience back to the business. With the simplification of the tools has also allow us to cross train team members.

We have not leveraged this yet. Future plans.
