Cisco Meraki Go Appliances are usually used as WIFI hotspots or Access points in urban environments to ensure compliant access to WIFI or to simply connect to the internet through the company network. It's used generally when clients used Meraki stacked with other products like Meraki MS and Meraki MX. The product should be used with an authentication mechanism.

Cisco Meraki Go appliances are configurable in the cloud which makes them quickly deployable. templates can be preconfigured in the cloud dashboard then the appliance could download its configuration after basic network configuration to be able to reach the Cisco cloud. this is useful for large-scale deployment of Meraki Go access points with nearly the same configuration. This is how we saved time in the deployment.
Meraki Go access points deliver access to the network. then Meraki MS should switch traffic to the default gateway. Gateway of all LANs should be handled by layer 3 equipment which could be the Meraki MX firewall. If the client wants DNS security, Cisco Umbrella could be used to filter internet traffic on DNS layer.
