Cisco FMC and FTD Firewalls are GREAT
Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Firewall
The Cisco FMC and FTDs solve our edge access and security issues. Allowing us, as a credit union, to operate within compliance.
Pros
- Snort3 rules and built in engines are accurate and updated regularly
- Ease of use, lots of dashboards but things make sense
- Integration with other Cisco products in the network
- Great VPN solution
Cons
- Hard to use for a beginner, lack of wizards and guides built into the dashboard
- Limits to site-to-site VPN connectivity with other firewalls. Lack of friendly usability with regards to configuring with other vendors
- Extremely positive ROI because we would not be able to continue business at all without its security and assurance.
- Provides continuous 24/7 support for protecting our customers assets and PII.
- Prevents millions of dollars of loss from Cyber-security incidents.
Deep level inspection has rarely negatively impacted business and helps maintain Zero Trust by proactively scanning, analyzing, and preventing malicious bad actors from compromising our network.
Yes we utilize the client VPN, site-to-site VPN, logs fed to our SIEM, and analyzing our network throughput with regards to passing through the firewall device.
