Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Firewall

We use Cisco Secure Firewall in our office, and for enterprise customers.
The problem that it addresses is pretty much Securing the office, and customer networks, provide VPN tunneling termination, and RA VPN for remote workers.
It does Malware analyzis and blocks unauthorized connections and blocks based on known attack vectors.

Pros

  • Upgrading process
  • High Availability
  • The Threat defense engine
  • VPN termination

Cons

  • Always good to cut deployment time.
  • The Gui has room for improvement
  • I think also basic rate limiting blocking shouldnt be hard to configure.
  • With the reporting I have been able to show customers that the Cisco Secure Firewall is keeping their networks safe.
  • I can now offer my customers a real secure WAN with attack pattern recognition and Malware analytics
  • I think no one can beat it in price vs performance category.
All features are enabled no noticable performance hit..
I can show my customers now real data that they are being kept safe, and out of harms way, with the detailed reporting the platform provides.
Never had to contact support because of this product.
The VPN features allow us to both terminate remote customer tunnels, and allow our remote workers, to securely access local resources.
VPN can be protected with MFA via Duo for extra security.

Do you think Cisco Secure Firewall delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Secure Firewall's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Secure Firewall live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Secure Firewall go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Secure Firewall again?

Yes

I have used FTD (firepower threat defense) from 6.3 (the awful days) to know 7.7 and everything has gone from awful to great.
The deployment times were really long back in the early days but now it is usually not more than 20 - 30 seconds.
Also the Gui and performance of he Gui has increased a lot. I really love this Cisco Secure Firewall product now. I am glad I didnt give up on it.
