Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Unified IP Phone 6900 Series

A low-cost IP phone that is used in school classrooms or hospital patient rooms to avoid using analog devices and having to maintain unnecessary pot lines.
  • Low-end IP phone
  • Better then analog device
  • Easy to manage and maintain
  • Not webex compatible
  • Needs an LCD screen
  • Limited functionality
  • Low cost, so high ROI
  • Allows us to not use a VG or any other analog device
  • Easy management
They are similar to a common analog handset that would plug into a 50/100 pair. However, we selected them because we did not want to use analog in the new hospitals that we built. Long term, it was cheaper to buy a large quantity of these devices than to maintain Cisco analog gateways.

Would you buy Cisco Unified IP Phone 6900 Series again?

Yes

The Cisco Unified IP Phone 6900 Series is a cost-effective phone that works well in hospitals as room phones, wall-mounted hallway phones, and phones with not a lot of usage. It is not the most effective phone for areas with call center agents, receptionists, or any other type of power users because of its limited functionality.
