Overall Satisfaction with CloudApp

CloudApp is being used within my company, mostly for collaboration with clients and development partners. It's been a lifesaver to visually show problems with a video recording, or take a picture and point out the problem/area that needs changed by marking it up. It saves a lot of time from having to jump on constant screen sharing sessions just to show a single problem area. It also saves time from having to manually do a screenshot, save it, then upload it to an email...I can just paste the link once it's automatically uploaded and copied!
  • Uploading screenshots/videos immediately and automatically to the cloud
  • Automatically copying that cloud link so you can just paste it in an email
  • Ability to edit the picture or video directly after taking it (ex. adding text, arrows, boxes, or circles)
  • Ability to download with a single click on the Mac App, you have to click on the options button, then click download, then select where you want it saved. Too many clicks currently.
  • Cut down on screen sharing calls required
  • Improved customer satisfaction due to fewer emails/calls required to review issues/changes required
  • Decrease manual time spent training since videos can easily be recorded & stored
  • Save $ on storage by having files, images, videos stored on CloudApp
The only other competitor I'm aware of is Droplr. I liked the clean, white interface of CloudApp as well as the rest of their user interface. It's been fairly intuitive to figure out. The one thing Droplr had integrated before CloudApp was "work spaces" where you could easily "tag" or organize files based upon folder/tag/work space. This makes it easy to organize your material, instead of the service becoming a virtual "junk drawer" for digital files. CloudApp recently rolled out a similar feature, which has been helpful in organizing media.
CloudApp is a core tool that every marketing team, development team, or customer support team should have in their application stack. It's been a tool I use throughout the week in various communications (clients, as well as partners). It's been helpful for troubleshooting issues I run into with my software, but also extremely helpful for sending changes I'd like to see done to websites to my developers. A great tool to cut down on miscommunication about visual changes needed to things. It's also a great tool to record training videos. You can easily share a specific part of your screen and walkthrough how a task needs to be done, or how a program works.
