Overall Satisfaction with CMiC Construction Platform

Across the whole organization - used by construction field/project managers and incorporated into the billing department as well. It incorporates budgeting tools/construction field inquiries (RFIs, documentation, drawings) as well as daily logs and information critical to the construction site. It also incorporates monetary issues and tracks the cause (field issues/RFIs).

  • Document (drawing) incorporation.
  • Scheduling/budgeting.
  • More user/friendly interface.
  • Selective export to excel.
  • Use with chrome.
  • Assists in design team review and distribution.
  • Tracking of issues and potential costs.
  • Visibility of issues and concerns.
Similar to Prolog with user interface and operations - but Prolog was not as robust and didn't have all the modules or abilities.
Procore is not as robust - didn't have the advantages or timesheets - but much more user friendly with interfaces and intuitiveness in features for a new user.
I haven't used support but done training mostly - that has been good.

Overall, the workflow has been helpful in incorporating my daily tasks into a simple platform. There's billables, projections, budgeting, construction day-to-day all in one location. It's been helpful in simplifying daily work and streamlining the overall construction processes and items in a interface that's both customizable and robust.
I think it can be scaled between teams, platforms, and different operations within the company. So far our company has grown relatively robustly and training has been modest but users are quick to grasp the product and incorporate it into their day to day. The interaction with operations and incorporation of standardized construction processes has been integrated well and continues to do so as we grow.
It seems to work well as an overall solution to construction companies - payroll, hr, field and project teams. There are multiple modules that are effective tools for all users in the firm and a single solution for a variety of items. A drawback would be if there's incorporation from an outside owner - would be cumbersome for them.
