Overall Satisfaction with Code42 CrashPlan

I use CrashPlan as a cloud backup solution for my business.
  • The data is encrypted in transit using a custom encryption key
  • CrashPlan allows for inexpensive unlimited storage
  • It allows you to configure the number of versions of a file that you'd like to keep
  • CrashPlan provides limited access to downloading your data. To restore even small amounts of data you need to request that they send you your data using a hard drive. This is terribly inconvenient. I've read that you might be able to adjust this setting, but I have not located that setting.
  • On one or two occasions I've had to re-install the software as I was getting errors regarding the UI being able to connect to the service.
  • Unlimited data backup
  • Continuous, real time backup
  • Knowing that my data is securely backed up is invaluable

Overall, for the price of the service and the amount of data that you can backup, I think the service is great. It provides peace of mind knowing that my data is stored securely in the cloud.
