Overall Satisfaction with Code42 CrashPlan
I use CrashPlan as a cloud backup solution for my business.
- The data is encrypted in transit using a custom encryption key
- CrashPlan allows for inexpensive unlimited storage
- It allows you to configure the number of versions of a file that you'd like to keep
- CrashPlan provides limited access to downloading your data. To restore even small amounts of data you need to request that they send you your data using a hard drive. This is terribly inconvenient. I've read that you might be able to adjust this setting, but I have not located that setting.
- On one or two occasions I've had to re-install the software as I was getting errors regarding the UI being able to connect to the service.
- Unlimited data backup
- Continuous, real time backup
- Knowing that my data is securely backed up is invaluable
