Overall Satisfaction with CodeStream

We used code stream in a investment banking project for integration of all the developer tools like GitHub, Bitbucket. Mainly as a CICD tool for a streamlined process of code deployment. This was used as a major collaborator of the developer tools for which integrates the code development, ersion control, deployment under one umbrella
  • Code checkins
  • Pipelines for CICD
  • Docker support
  • UI and navigation between services
  • Only support YAML method
  • Manual setting of triggers in the pipeline
  • JIRA integration
  • API extensibility
  • CICD pipeline designs
  • Faster deployment
  • High cost of support
  • Kubernates deployment problem
  • API integration and extensibility for customisation
When compared to Bitbucket, CodeStream is a luck lustre. Even though the overall features are more with CodeStream like customisation of API and more control of triggers across the designed pipeline, Bitbucket and Visual Studio score better in terms of faster implementation and dedicated and proven support system . Apart from that CodeStream fairs better than AWS CodePipeline in overall features

Do you think CodeStream delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with CodeStream's feature set?

Yes

Did CodeStream live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of CodeStream go as expected?

No

Would you buy CodeStream again?

No

It's very well suited as an CICD tool for pipeline creation and automation. The Uac design of all the services are top notch and better compared to AWS CodePipeline. It's very strong with API management also and also is very good for JIRA Integra. The notable drawback is manual creation of triggers along the pipeline which seems tedious sometimes
