Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight

We use Conductor to track links for category pages, sub-category pages and product pages on our sites.
The digital marketing team is the primary user of the tool, our copywriters have limited access to the tool.
Conductor provides insight and uncovers issues with keyword query ranking changes.

Pros

  • The tool is extremely intuitive compared to other tools we have used in the past.
  • Extremely visual which helps convey metrics and trends to leadership as well as creatives like copywriters.

Cons

  • More ownership in regards to providing and implementing recommendations.
  • We have not seen positive nor negative impact which is frustrating. We don't believe that this is stemming from anything that we have or have not performed on Conductor - it is more of the monetization of the SERP that is impacting our SEO growth.
Support via chat or email has been amazing, super quick to respond and always helpful.
We were using BrightEdge prior to transitioning to Conductor. We moved to Conductor because the usability for our team - to include our copywriters, was more intuitive and user-friendly.
Conductor is well-suited for companies that have at least 1 dedicated SEO staffer to implement recommendations.

Using Conductor Searchlight

There is just so much within this tool it easily becomes overwhelming when a user is not in the tool each week. The help topics are very helpful, but there is just a lot going on.

SEO/Content strategies benefit from having the right people involved and I am sure you've had to wear a lot of hats with your copywriters not spending as much time in the platform.
