Overall Satisfaction with Conga CLM

Our CLM process was very slow. Conga CLM helped in speeding up the Sales Cycle using Automation. As this tool automates contract creation, approval, and management processes it reduces manual errors and saves a lot of time. We were not able to perform any risk analysis. This tool helps in Risk Analysis as well by automatically extracting and analyzing risks in third-party contracts, providing recommendations for mitigating potential issues.

Pros

  • Unified Storage. All contracts are stored in a single, centralized repository, providing a comprehensive view of the entire contract lifecycle, including versions, negotiations, approval history, and metrics.
  • Easy Search. Advanced search capabilities, including natural language search, allow users to quickly find specific contracts or clauses.
  • Dynamic Approvals: Automate approval workflows to speed up the contract approval process and ensure compliance with company policies.

Cons

  • There are some Customization Complexity e.g. Coding Requirements. Certain customizations require coding, which can be challenging for teams without technical expertise. For example, updating annual exchange rates might need custom coding.
  • Learning Curve: While the platform is feature-rich, new users often face a steep learning curve. Initial setup and configuration can be complex, requiring significant time and effort to get comfortable with the system.
  • Integration with Non-Salesforce Systems. Although Conga CLM integrates well with Salesforce, integrating with other CRM or ERP systems can sometimes be less straightforward. This can lead to additional time and resources spent on ensuring seamless integration
  • Positive Impact 1 - Time Saved in Processing Contracts like automations & Workflows. Also increased Accuracy in Contracts by using Standardization i.e. pre-approved templates
  • Positive Impact 2 - AI-powered insights.
  • Negative impacts - Learning curve is difficult as it's not that easy to learn & fly in a short time. Also, there are some complexities in customizations. You need to understand the tool quite well to get it working for you.
It's very scalable. If you know how to customize this tool, you are able to reach the limits. The more you work in the tool the deeper you get insights of how well you can customize it & get the best from it.
Yes, It has definitely helped us here. It has saved a LOT of time in manually creating the contracts & reviewing it. There were lot of email sharing happening with approvals & rejections based on the reviews. Now it's all sorted quite well. We have cut down a significant time & effort in getting the contracts completed.
These tools were great but didn't had very good support for Salesforce ecosystem. We heavily rely on Salesforce & wanted a custom application that can live inside Salesforce & deliver.
