Overall Satisfaction with Control-M

Manages all of our batch services, correlates all the workflows that have to be completed every night, and we like the product.

Pros

  • Workload change manager is one of our favorite features of this product. It enforces standards, which is a huge benefit. Users don't just make crazy changes that cause issues with other jobs. It does great promotions from one environment to another, transforming all the data to match the next environment.

Cons

  • The upgrade process could be a little better refined. If they had a package for installing agents or upgrading agents using SCCM or other standard installers, it would make our lives a lot easier.
  • I'm not able to speak to this.
3000 - They represent all sorts of business. We have multiple businesses in the company and every one of them use it. It's our enterprise standard. It allows the different lines of business to coordinate their workflows.
It is simple. A lot of people can take just a little bit of training and get going on their scheduling right away.
BMC product is superior.
