Overall Satisfaction with Control-M

We use Control-M to schedule jobs and have eliminate 2nd and 3rd shift operators

Pros

  • Run Job streams
  • Run Cyclical Jobs
  • Allow user to check on the status of their jobs

Cons

  • The creation of Self-Service users can be difficult when special privileges are required, and the administrator is not familiar with creating Self-Service users.
  • The elimination of 2nd and 3rd shift operators.
A new
user can step in to preform monitoring tasks with almost no training, new functionality
improvements have allowed for the creation of more complex workflows using fewer
jobs in the flow.
