Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Passkey

We host almost 2,000 people for an event, for which about 2/3 require hotel rooms. We used to manually manage room assignments and passing credit card forms through a secure site. We now started using Event Passkey, allowing us to connect directly with the host hotel, and guests can choose their stay, add shoulder stays, input their CC information more securely while freeing up hundreds of hours of our employee's time.
  • Room management
  • Reporting
  • Bit time consuming to set up.
  • Doesn't work with every hotel so not consistent experience.
  • Frees up events team to work on other things.
  • Less compliance issues trying to collect credit card information.
We haven't used any other options. We used to manage everything manually, which sucked up hundreds of hours of our employee's time and cause frustrations among some of our high profile clients who wanted to make their bookings or manage their trip on their own off-hours time instead of having to reach our employees during booking hours. They are then also able to edit their reservation and receive confirmation numbers without having to go through us. With all of the GDPR issues occurring, it's also solving a lot of trouble of collecting information and properly managing it.
We haven't used support much, so I can't say it's perfect, but we've had no major issues or complaints yet.

Yes

Are you happy with Cvent Passkey's feature set?

Yes

Did Cvent Passkey live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Cvent Passkey go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cvent Passkey again?

Yes

If you're only having a small block of guests, it may not be worth the effort, but when you have a more complex event set up -- hundreds to thousands of people where there's an option for people to pick multiple room nights, have some nights comped while other nights cost or shoulder stays it comes in handy.
