Overall Satisfaction with D&B Finance Analytics

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use D&B Finance Analytics to help with determining if we should approve a customer who has applied for payment terms with us. I love that I can look up customers who are in the US and in Canada, as we have several customers located in Canada. I also like that you can see single locations as well as if they have a Headquarters. In many instances we find the HQ information to be far more informative.

Being able to see the Top 10 Companies with Risky Delinquency Scores
Ease of use/User friendly
Ability to customize the Dashboard

Cons

I would like to see contact information, such as Accounting contact names and email addresses. Not sure how hard that would be to provide but it would be extremely helpful.
I'm sure there are more things I might suggest, but we don't use enough of the options offered right now in our package.

Return on Investment

It has helped us reduce risk when determining a customer's credit worthiness.
By being able to see the possible risk, we are able to avoid payment issues by not approving a customer for payment terms.
It also helps us continue to see any possible risk with existing customers by seeing changes to their live data.

Alternatives Considered

Experian Account & Portfolio Management

We chose to switch to D&B Finance Analytics due to the ease of use and amount of valuable data provided versus Experian. We find the information provided by D&B is more useful than Experian, and we feel the software is much easier to use and understand. We also appreciate the continued contact by D&B to check on us and how things are going, as well as the training webinars offered.

Support Rating

Love how quickly support responds and that we can chat live with a representative to help us resolve an issue or question. It's awesome how connecting with someone in a live chat can provide a link to a specific location of the software/website to assist with answering questions. Also appreciate the quick response to help desk tickets for support whether it be program update suggestions or bug fixes.

Likelihood to Recommend

D&B Finance Analytics is helpful with determining a customer's credit worthiness when our customer has data reported. We are a Wholesale Durable Goods company and we prefer to see data reflecting Trade Payments that show Wholesale Durable and/or Non-Durable Goods to help us see how they pay their Trade Payments. I also like to see the Maximum Credit Recommendation, however, in some instances I tend to disagree just based on customer history with us as well as the lack of data for Trade Payments. I would (and have) definitely recommend this program to colleagues.
