Overall Satisfaction with Dashlane

I have used Dashlane to clean up duplicate passwords, keep my passwords changing frequently, to generate new secure passwords, and to use Dashlane to log me into all my websites banking and business-related websites. I also use their Secure notes fairly extensively and have begun using them for Passkeys as well. I have used Dashlane since 2013 and stayed with them through some major changes and still been reasonably satisfied. Although, recently there have been a couple sites that I've had to sign into manually when Dashlane couldn't fill in my credentials automatically and that is why I dinged them 1 point down to a 9/10.
  • Their Secure Notes are an easy and great way to save and protect important data and notes not specifically password-related.
  • I really like their Payments feature. I've used that at my desk and when traveling to fill-in payment information on the fly.
  • I've recently begun using Dashlane with PassKeys and found the process to be simple and intuitive to use.
  • Their auto-logons have begun to not work on several websites that I use often, like my Sam's Club Business MC, and that can be really annoying.
  • Also, their Master Password reset appears to require setup by my end-users and if they forget to set it up and forget their password, which has happened, there is no recovery. It would be nice if I, as the company owner, was able to force that process or at least see an indication whether they have set it up or not.
  • Dashlane has definitely made improving password security much easier and less time-consuming.
  • It has also hugely assisted in eliminating duplicated passwords across many websites, so when there is a breach at one company, we no longer need to worry as much that the breached credentials will allows access to other sites as well.
I really liked their desktop version and was very sad to see it go away and be replaced by their web-only version and there was some loss of usability, particularly during the transition. Some of that usability has returned but not all. And, I still get some minor complaints from users about one or another feature they liked in the desktop version that has not yet returned or does not work as well in the web-only version.
Yes - KeePass. A KeePass vulnerability allowed and attacker to access the master password of two of our users.
We did very limited trials of those two password managers at some point in the past but our end users did not like either one and asked us to discontinue the trials and leave Dashlane in place. I'm sorry, I do not remember the specifics as it was some time ago.

Do you think Dashlane delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dashlane's feature set?

Yes

Did Dashlane live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dashlane go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dashlane again?

Yes

My opinion is that it works well for a company with a limited number of users but just does not yet offer the company admin the level of monitoring and control that I would like to see, particularly for companies with a large number of users and/or a high turnover rate where employees leave frequently and there is no way to access their saved company logins—at least none that I can find.
