Overall Satisfaction with Dashlane

Dashlane was selected to provide a secure means of storing company and production passwords that could be shared across the organization. There was also the need to keep certain information separate from one group to the next and only allow access to certain account information to all groups. It was also necessary to have this information available from multiple locations both at the corporate office but also to remote workers. Our company did not wish to maintain the hardware to provide this access.
  • Segregation of passwords and accounts
  • Ease of access from multiple locations
  • Restricting password access and account control
  • The flexibility of having accounts privatized or shared to the entire organization
  • Can be overly complex
  • Difficulty in making accounts accessible to others
  • Unintuitive interface
  • Productivity has never been a concern since we have used products like Dashlane in the past, but the security features provide great peace of mind.
  • Far less time has been spent on credential management
  • It is easy to share new account password and credentials with others with the organization
While Dashlane has some very useful features, the interface has never left me with the feeling that it was extremely intuitive or advanced. I have also often struggled when creating or allowing access to new passwords or accounts and having others be able to see or be able to access them without getting on a call or chat to get it configured correctly.
While some of the products we investigated are used by many people, the biggest concern related to a password manager was security. We are a very security minded company and anything that was to be used had to include the highest security features, industry leading security protocols but at the same time be highly accessible with the ability share account information across many departments. Dashlane easily fulfills these needs.

Yes

Did Dashlane live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Dashlane again?

Yes

We are able to share account information, passwords and other shared secrets around the organization. The granular ability to determine who has access, to which groups or teams individuals are a part of and flexibility of how to break up access is very useful. It is highly accessible to all users from anywhere they are working, but has strong security features providing the peace of mind that our data is secure. I would not necessarily recommend this for home or personal use and the interface can be a bit daunting and lacks refinement.
