Overall Satisfaction with Dashlane Password Manager
We use Dashlane Password Manager to manage all our business and personal accounts for our family business. Most of our accounts aren't enterprise accounts so we can't turn on single sign on for them and have to store the passwords. Dashlane not only stores but helps us to create unique random passwords and passkeys or auth tokens where we can, and share those across our devices. Where an app fails to allow us to have individual accounts it also allows us to share the passwords securely.
Pros
- Generates a new password for each website/app whilst signing up and stores it
- separates work (by email domain) and personal accounts
- secures sharing
Cons
- sharing is done differently on different devices, this could be easier
- on a mac there is a different experience on each browser
- updates can sometimes be slow to propagate to other devices
- It's made it easier to share and unshare passwords
- its made it easier to use unique passwords which reduces risks of sharing
- it has massively reduced the time for forgotten passwords
Yes - 1Password and LastPass. Between my partner and I we used 1Password, LastPass and Dashlane split between our business and personal use, meaning we had a good chance to have experienced all of them, when we started a business together we wanted to move to a single solution and choosing Dashlane was the easy decision.
Dashlane Password Manager offered a more seamless experience across multiple devices, both laptop and mobile and worked really well for sharing. The plans offered when we signed up were really compelling and the latest changes with free family and friends make it an easy choice to keep using. The support for passkeys wa an unexpected surprise
