Overall Satisfaction with Dashlane Password Manager
We use Dashlane Password Manager in a limited number of cases currently. Our IT staff and a number of other employees with sensitive data accounts are required to use it to create and maintain strong password health. The difficulty in requiring no reused passwords and the length that passwords need to be to be truly secure has driven the need for a product like this. It also helps with sharing passwords between teams and with project employee turnover to ensure uninterrupted access to accounts.
Pros
- Password creation is a breeze with the password generator.
- Sharing passwords between users while keeping the passwords secure.
- Giving access to passwords from multiple devices no matter where you are.
- Auto-filling username and password fields to speed up the login process.
Cons
- Sometimes the auto-fill feature fails to load on a page making you go into the extension to copy and paste it manually.
- Our security posture has been increased tenfold by generating very long complex passwords that are never reused and never forgotten.
- Offboarding is much easier without the need to go change passwords of the departing user prior to them leaving.
- The dashboard lets us be sure that our users are using the service and staying secure.
