Overall Satisfaction with Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room

We use this as part of our due diligence process when looking into a company’s data room. The target company would be uploading and updating relevant documents as the process develops and we would be able to access them on the site. For our portfolio companies, we also sometimes use the platform to upload documents and manage identity access using the platform.

Although it is slightly complex initially, the platform becomes easy to use once the user is trained to do so or has become more familiar with it. The folders and projects are distributed clearly and versioning is done quite well. Identity management is also done well with users having access to only the ones they can see.

It would be appropriate for highly efficient and confidential investment processes where data security and confidentiality is paramount. For processes that are relatively straightforward, would still use the platform as required. If confidentiality is not an issue then the platform would be useful but not necessary to be used. Almost 30% of companies I’ve looked at uses this platform.
