Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce HCM

Dayforce HCM is used across our entire organization. It has solved many of the issued caused by having 4 companies under one parent. Now, we have one record to search for that contains all the employee information we need, instead of searching through 4 different databases, hoping not to miss vital information.
  • Time sheets are easily accessible, allowing HR to verify hours or attendance issues. We can see what position the individual worked, as well as break times, with just a glance.
  • Pay increases can be entered by either amount and percentages, allowing you to customize how you award raises. A comprehensive record of increases allows us to monitor how, and when, raises are awarded.
  • All on-boarding documents are kept in one record. Updates are easily added. This will take the fear of audits out of our work equation as we know exactly where all of our information is kept. No more searching through thousands of files.
  • Reports could be more inclusive. We are still unable to verify that, in our data entry process, we did not improperly enter tax information.
  • While Dayforce is continually improving processes, sometimes the updates seem to come too often. In the long run, updates are a very good thing, but it often seems like we have just gotten accustomed to a series of changes when more are created. Informing our workforce of the changes created by updates becomes a full time job.
  • Answers, or corrections to issues, are not always available as swiftly as we need.
  • Dayforce has helped us to modernize our HR practices, allowing us to focus and improve our processes.
By having Payroll, HR, Time and Benefits all in a single application we no longer get tossed around the phone lines when we have a question or an issue. There is a lot less "passing of the buck" and, while there is still room for improvement, we know exactly where to go to get our answers.
It seems as though Dayforce would shine in situations where a company has entities in more than one state or country. We only have one site, but can see the potential easily enough.

Using Ceridian Dayforce HCM

1000 - All of our employees use Dayforce in one aspect or another. Hourly employees can view their pay stubs, schedules, vacation time availability, etc. Managers and supervisors create schedules, monitor time sheets, and approve time off requests. HR, Payroll, and the Corporate Office work out of Dayforce most of the day.
We have a seasonal staff that fluctuates from 250 to 1120 with onboarding and terminating of seasonal employees happening, in large quantities, 3 times a year. We are continually training new users and re-educating existing users.
5 - While Dayforce is pretty user friendly, in order to offer support an individual must be confident in their computer literacy. Due to the system of upgrades, a support specialist must also be flexible in accepting change, willing to relearn and patient in retraining staff.
  • Onboarding
  • Timekeeping
  • Payroll
  • Eventually, I would like to see the benefits carrier feeds used. We have not used this offering, because the number of employees who accept our benefit offering s verse those that do not, does not make this a logical use of corporate dollars.
We went through 3 HRIS systems in as many years. Dayforce is definitely the best of the bunch. While there are things we would like improved, overall it is a very usable system.

Dayforce HCM Training

I think that the online training is very well presented. There is always room for growth, thus the 9 instead of 10, but overall I do like the online training with Dayforce.
