Overall Satisfaction with Dovetail
We use Dovetail as a repository to organise and store all of our user data, including interviews, surveys, and application feedback. We also use it as the primary tool for tagging and thematically analysing interview data.
Pros
- Brilliant as a searchable repo.
- Organizing and visualizing tags.
- Instant reports on specific questions.
- Accessible for the whole team.
- Absolutely brilliant for interview analysis.
Cons
- I need an API to connect DT to PowerBI or python.
- Directly importing survey data without it overcrowding the Data area.
- Decreased margin for error.
- Improved decision making.
- Understanding users better.
I use the AI features to analyse qualitative data; it is helpful. I don't like the feature that analyzes large amounts of data; it was not accurate or detailed enough for me. It was also not adjustable according to my needs.
As mentioned earlier, it has encouraged more hands-on access to the data for the wider team, which is absolutely brilliant.
