Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight
I am the sole user in our company. I am using DraftSight for design-build drawing where I show the locations of lighting and electrical components for projects. I also use it to design underground conduit and electrical panel locations for projects.
- Very similar to AutoCAD
- Professional is a very powerful program
- Power trim is great for cleaning up drawings
- There should be technical support for all users. It is very frustrating to have failures occur over and over with no help.
- Training videos could be more detailed.
- Image Tracer is a nice addition, but I have not been able to figure it out.
- For the price, DraftSight is every bit as powerful as AutoCAD

Evaluating DraftSight and Competitors
Yes - We were using AutoCAD. DraftSight is great AutoCAD 2D replacement because of the price point.

Features for the price is a win-win.
DraftSight Professional is a great product for the price. I'm just wondering why the Attach, JPG was removed. I can still cut and paste so I can do it, just another step.
