Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

I'm a one man company and needed an affordable drawing software for less than fifty days/year use for my agro-industry drying boiler business.

Pros

  • 100% cad compatible
  • DXF data files sharing
  • Customisable settings for my needs
  • Without any printing problems

Cons

  • I never had a problem assembling several drawings from third parties into a one plant drawing by modifying the drawings clients like.
  • the investment worth is 100% for my use
  • cannot found negative impacts in my use
I first, over years, used the free version from DraftSight but in 2019 light changes were made to the software. However, it is still affordable and I'm hoping it'll stay so. For that, my general note is 9 instead of 10 if it were still free.
Assembling in one drawing from maybe 6 or 8 third party's .dwg drawings by copy/past/scaling/modifying for a judicious client. For example, implantation for corn drying plants is 90% of my drawing job. The other 10% is spent drawing mechanical connection/piping pieces.
