Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight
DraftSight is typically used by myself but another employee sometimes needs to use it. We use it to create the digital files needed to manufacture a variety of parts with our lasers, water jet, and router. It saves the company money over some of its competition.
Pros
- 2D DWG files
- Reads AutoCAD and several other formats
- Robust features for the price
Cons
- Better documentation; it's not bad, just some things aren't super clear to me
- In the past, updates have switched my toolbars around but seems to be OK the last few updates
- I want the little bomb icon back for the 'explode' tool
- Positive ROI
- SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD
The other products have many more features that we don't need at this time and are way more expensive.
