Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

DraftSight is used within our organization by CAD specialists and interior designers creating architectural drawings to support products we sell.
  • Easy To Understand
  • Fast Processing
  • Convertible Files
  • Easier to set drawing standards
  • Easier to understand typing short cuts
  • Higher quality hatches and printing
  • Drag to scale rather than typing ratio
  • Architectural Plans and Drawings
  • Mechanical Details
  • Interior Space Planning
  • Ease of editing drawings from other companies involved on the project
  • Quickly throw together drawings for clients
  • Make real time adjustments during meetings with clients
I personally enjoyed AutoCAD more as that is what I used throughout my education. However, it is much more expensive for nearly the same product as Draft Sight. Revit is its own type of software and isn't easily comparable to something like DraftSight. Draftsight was just slightly more difficult to get used to as far as setting drawing standards and shortcuts.

Do you think DraftSight delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with DraftSight's feature set?

Yes

Did DraftSight live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of DraftSight go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy DraftSight again?

Yes

DraftSight is great for throwing together construction documents, especially for large projects requiring multiple sheets and drawings. It is not as useful when the project will also be rendered in 3D. In that case, it is easier to just use a software that allows for both 2D and 3D within the same process.
