Overall Satisfaction with Duo Security

We use Duo at our company as the second phase of a dual factor authentication process to log into our computers as well as our software based in the cloud environment. We have successfully attached the Duo software to single sign on platform and have a global use of dual factor authentication to all our business platforms.

Pros

The system is very easy to understand in all walks of our business community. From the average production colleague who uses the USB FOB to the power users that have installed the application on their phones and use the online or offline key generation, there is really no heartache over the implementation and everyone seems to understand the importance and the use of the software.
As stated, our integration with cloud computing environment and software has been beneficial overall in keeping secure data safe, and preventing loss of data in a breach. The ability to single sing on for all platforms is still being debugged for some of our platforms, but should provide a similar experience in the end.
Indications are that the developer supports its customers well.
All of my experience has been internal to our company with regards to technical support. All those instances have gone well and I assume that if our internal technical team understood well enough to solve the problems, that the software vendor would have done a reasonable job in training them on the software during installation.
I have not evaluated other software, as I was not involved in the decision to bring the software onboard, I was not on the team to evaluate potential other options.
I think the rollout of this tool in our business was well met and easy to understand for all involved. Secondarily the application of the USB FOB for people who were reluctant to use the app was easy to manage as well, making adoption easy and seamless. The speed of the software is good even while working remotely, and the interaction with the rest of our software suites is easy to manage as well. The negative is that if you are signed out once, you need to re-login to all things again - making it repetitive in the morning when beginning the day.
