Overall Satisfaction with Dynatrace

Pros

  • Root cause.
  • Synthetic monitoring.

Cons

  • Maintenance mode needs improvements.
  • Telling users when a problem is being troubleshooted.
  • Fast root-cause finding.
  • Health state display.
SCOM is more a component monitoring tool, whereas Dynatrace's strength is toward application monitoring.
Support is very helpful.

We are using Dynatrace to monitor application and infrastructure issues from production down to dev cycles. We want to be able to find dev codes that show misbehavior at an early stage in development.
