Overall Satisfaction with Epicor Prophet 21

P 21 is our ERP system. It is used across the whole organization. It gives us access to all of our sales information.

Pros

  • P 21 integrates easily with our CRM software.
  • From a marketing perspective, P 21 allows us to enter prospects and convert them so we can track history.

Cons

  • From a marketer's perspective, it would be nice to have a way to pull contact lists directly from P 21. Now we are able to use our CRM software for this, but before CRM, I would have to ask our business systems analyst to pull customer lists.

We have an e-commerce set up on our website. However, we don't promote our site for e-commerce. It doesn't seem like there's a seamless way for customers to order. For example, freight is not calculated until after the transaction has gone through and the items are ready to ship. Therefore, when the person places the order, they have absolutely no idea what the total cost of their order is going to be. A big problem considering the ease of doing business with other online retailers like Amazon.
  • P 21 seems to work consistently and predictably which is vital for servicing customers and processing orders.
I probably use P 21 once every couple days, but in my experience, it's user-friendly and intuitive. I can usually find everything I need.
