I use F5 BIG-IP for load balancing, traffic shaping and routing

Pros

  • L3 to l7 routing
  • ssl orchestration, termination, passthrough
  • load balancing traffic to backends

Cons

  • Centralised provisioning
  • Easy way to rotate ssl certificates
  • secure applications
  • traffic shaping and routing

Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Zscaler Private Access
I believe F5 BIG-IP is really good at L3-L4 routing and load balancing. Its an easy solution if traffic routing and shaping is required. L7 capabilities such as redirection, caching etc. could be improved.
