Overall Satisfaction with F5 BIG-IP

We use it to distribute traffic from many sources and then have that fail over if we needed to. We typically send to one place for whatever reason it fails. We send to another place also for load balancing between different servers.

Pros

  • Definitely the load balancing between servers that manage the traffic from our members and from our internal employees so that way the servers themselves don't overload.

Cons

  • Honestly, it's been working great. No real complaints. So yeah, no, nothing that I can throw out the top of my mind honestly.
  • All positive really. Again, just the uptime, the load balancing that we use it for. And it's been pretty solid as far as being uptime of it, passing traffic and how it's supposed to work.
It's been working great. No issues. It's been doing what we needed to do.
We've had it for so long, we just not really ever looked elsewhere, honestly. Yeah, it's been a great tool.

We recommend it all the time to whoever other credit unions that might ask about what we use. Basically what we use it for, really the load balancing. If one place fails in, it's got a backup place to go basically is the two big things that we use it for.
